Interesting place to say the least but the food was good and very cheap per the portions. We get there late on a Saturday night looking to eat at the restaurant and the bouncer tells us we have to pay cover. (It's a club at night) We say we just want food and they agree to let us in as long as we carry it out. So we did. The food was very much authentic and affordable as I mentioned. There didn't seem to be a standard policy on letting people in for food so I don't know if I'd be back. Didn't feel very welcome after all that.

Never been inside, but ordering to the office is phenom! Delivery is always here within a timely manner, and food is authentic Mexican style, hot and fresh. Last time the delivery driver came she did not have change though. But the food is delish so a few extra $$'s don't make a difference.

Great quality for a great price! Cramming in schoolwork and other duties, the boyfriend and I spent the day at home and decided to order food. I ordered a calamari appetizer to share, fajita de asada for the boyfriend, and fetucine alfredo pasta for myself. With $3.00 coupon, plus delivery and our own tip the bill amounted to around $39.00 arriving around 45-50 minutes after I had placed the other, just as they said it would. The calamari was great, big thick strips, not little tiny things that are mostly the fried flour/etc. Now, it came with two smaller containers of sauce, one was ketchup, and the other was an incredible sauce that was not spicy or tangy, but just perfect! The alfredo tasted good, just like the alfredo at, say, Olive Garden. The large container came with an equally large portion (enough for lunch, and maybe dinner later!), but there was no wow factor. It was pretty much as good as most restaurants' alfredos are. The fatita de asada came with a great protion of everything, and, according to the boyfriend, used very, very nice quality steak. When eating out at Mexican restaurants, he hardly ever touches the beans or rice... The beans and rice from Candela's, however, is a whole different story. He devoured his order using the provided hefty tortillas, and making his own tacos. Apparently, in his words, it was too good not to oder again. Overall, Candela is probably my ideal usual place because they carry everything I could crave for, from hot wings to shrimp cocktails. The availability of Italian and Mexican dishes with the added American staples- Candela is just right for the price.
